Sensei Hiob began his martial arts training in Edmonton in January, 1984 under Sensei John Shaw.  He received his 1st and 2nd degree black belt under Sensei David Aukutagawa, his 3rd degree from Hanshi Shane Yukio Higashi (Toronto) and his 4th degree from Sensei Tsuyoshi Chitose (Kumamoto, Japan). In November, 2008, Sensei Hiob received his Shihan certification from Sensei Shane Higashi and the Canadian Chito-Ryu Karate-Do Association.
He is presently continuing his study of the martial arts under the expert guidance of Hanshi Shane Higashi, Chief Instructor of Chito-Ryu karate in Canada.

Vlad G Pohnert
Nidan (2st Degree Black Belt)
Sensei Vlad began his karate training in 1999 at the age of 34. He joined the Edmonton Yoseikan Karate Club and began his Chito-Ryu training under Sensei Harvey Hiob in June, 2000.  Sensei Vlad received his 1st degree black belt in 2007 from Hanshi Shane Higashi .   He enjoys teaching karate to young people and has been actively involved in teaching the club’s children’s class for the last 6 years.  Sensei Vlad enjoys training with anyone interested in karate and greatly appreciates the good friendships he has made through this martial art.

Kevin Galbraith
Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt)
Sensei Kevin began his martial arts training in Saskatchewan at an early age. Upon moving to Edmonton in 1970, he continued training at Four Seasons Karate, Canadian Karate and Panther Gym. In 1986 he joined the Edmonton Yoseikan Karate Club and began training under Sensei John Shaw. Sensei Kevin received his 1st degree black belt in 1996 from Sensei David Aukutagawa. Sensei Kevin enjoys meeting past karateka friends and looks forward to developing new friendships with anyone interested in training in Chito-Ryu Karatedo.
Jessica Carr
Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt)
Sensei Jessica has been training in karate since she was 10 years old. She received her Shodan (first degree black belt) in November 2005 from Hanshi Shane Higashi, and is currently pursuing her Nidan (second degree black belt). Sensei Jessica loves to instruct both adults and children alike, and avidly encourages the participation of women in the club.
Adrienne Quast
Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt)
Sensei Adrienne has been training in Chito Ryu style karate since she was 11 years old. She received her Shodan (1st degree black belt) in November of 2005 during a clinic with Hanshi Shane Higashi. Sensei Adrienne enjoys the friendships and many activities associated with training in karate at the Yoseikan club. She is currently training hard to obtain her Nidan (2nd degree black belt)
Kimie Trusilo
Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt)
Sensei Kimie started training with her husband and 3 children in 2002. She received her Shodan (first degree black belt) in June of 2009 from Hanshi Shane Higashi. Kimie enjoys training with her family and friends and especially enjoys helping teach in the 6:00pm children's class.
Elizabeth Hiob
Shodan (1st Degree Black Belt)
Sensei Elizabeth has been training in karate since she was 6 years old. She received her Shodan (1st degree black belt) in November, 2008 from Hanshi Shane Higashi. Sensei Elizabeth competes regularly in both local and provincial karate tournaments and enjoys coaching both adults and children for upcoming competitions. She is currently training hard for both competitions and for obtaining her Nidan (2nd degree black belt).
